We are Stepfather Fred. #schaffaischbockgeil because we don't want to sit at home on the sofa and ponder about God and the world, but because we are at home on the stage and on the roads that lead to it. Over 500 live shows across Europe, Switzerland and Russia still haven't satisfied our hunger, so we constantly supply the stepfather's endless appetite with kilometers, pounding grooves, riffs and catchy hooks, beer and a huge portion of power.

Like our last album, “RUBICON” was recorded live. And not in a modern studio with underfloor heating, acoustically perfect rooms and cozy sofas in every corner, but in an old stable where we made ourselves reasonably comfortable for two weeks.

These three brilliant weeks have resulted in an album that will put the listening habits of die-hard Stepfather fans to the test. Stay tuned! As always, we approached the songwriting without being blinkered by genre boundaries. Songs like “Tripped My Demon” sound like Five Finger Death Punch, while “sVeniorita” features a Spanish guitar. While “Abacus” has a gothic feel and takes the listener on a depressive emotional journey, the banger “Collecting Faith” inspires hope again.
